Thanksgiving Give-away

In September, my fearless leader for the Ronald McDonald House Charity lost her fight with cancer. Karen Moody was such a wonderful, sweet, generous, and very creative person. I feel blessed to have known her and if it weren't for Stampin' Up!, I would have never had the chance to meet her. I'm thankful for the friends I have met and will continue to meet through our creativity. As the holidays draw near, I think of her quite often because it was during these times that we were working and creating gifts to send over to the children and families staying at the Orange County RMH together.

Karen was the first person to introduce me to Bunco. She also taught me how to create many, many fun things that I have shared in the past. She even had the patience to correct my mistakes and fix some of my projects that got bumps and bruises as they found their way to her by mail. She also connected me to a great charity, the Ronald McDonald House, and many other demonstrators but most of all, she was a friend.

From this experience with Karen, I've learned:
life is truly short.
To appreciate the little things and take the time to enjoy what is now.
My faith also becomes stronger and feel blessed and comforted that I have a God and a heaven to look forward to.
And in honor of her, I'd like to host a blog giveaway.

Sweet Stitches Fabric, Coordinating Buttons, & Exclusive Stampin' Up! Reusable Tote.

To be entered into this random drawing, please leave me a comment and since it is Thanksgiving, something you're thankful for wouldn't be bad either. Let's say you've got until this Sunday, November 27th to enter.

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. This is a wonderful way to honor your friend. I am thankful for all the wonderful friendships I have gained with my Stampin up business as well. I made table place cards for our meal today and am so excited for my loved ones to see my pretty table. ( I have had my table set for 3 days now this is one of my favorite parts of a big family meal the decorating!)

  2. What a wonderful way to remember your friend. I'm most thankful for my health. At my age, things start to go wrong and I'm thankful everyday when I can get out of bed and face the day with such energy. Without health, you have nothing. I'm volunteering at my church today to serve Thanksgiving dinner to anyone in our community. Best wishes to you and yours for a healthy holiday season.
