I decided to combine Mojo Monday Week 80 Sketch with Our Creative Corner color challenge of Not Quite Navy, More Mustard, Bashful Blue, and a neutral color of the designer's choice. I love this stamp set "Cheap Talk"(113204). How can you not fall in love with those adorable birdies!

Thoughts and Prayers

What a simple yet elegant sketch, wouldn't you agree? I used this MOJO 79 sketch for my Thoughts & Prayers card.

I love the tree stamp from this set. But I must admit, these are the cards that make me so sad to make because the recipient of this card means that they are hurting or in pain. My heart and prayers go out to the families who lost loved ones in the Montana plane crash.

card recipe: thoughts & prayers stamp set (113252); close to cocoa stamp pad; so saffron, chocolate chip, very vanilla, and baja breeze cardstock; bella rose designer series paper; so saffron ribbon from sale-a-bration ribbon bundle; scallop edge punch, large oval punch, and scalloped oval punch (mini occasions catalog).

MOJO Monday Week 78

Can't believe its Sunday, the night before a new sketch and I'm just getting in this past week's sketch! But I had to share what I made for this sketch because this card embodies all the wonderful things that you can get from Stampin' Up and make great cards with.

I love Stampin' Up's cardstock and their designer series paper. Not only is the designer series paper double sided with different prints but the weight and quality of it is beyond comparison. This paper is called "Walk in the Park" (115123) and found in the occasions mini catalog. Also found in the occasions mini catalog is the "Matchbox Messages" stamp set that I used (113800). You'll be able to order these items starting April 1st.

Texturz plates for the Sizzix is amazing too. I've used Stampin' Up's exclusive Backgrounds set (114512) to add a subtle polka dot pattern on the Kiwi Kiss cardstock. Then, I've added the basic grey taffeta ribbon. I love the taffeta ribbon because it feels good to work with but it also adds a touch of elegance. And finally, I used the circle punches (1  1/4", 1  3/8", and 1  3/4") and the scallop punch to accent the stamped image. Having these tools and wonderful accessories makes it that much easier to make beautiful cards.

Fairy Tales Do Come True...

Its my youngest daughter's birthday in April. She is a down right girlie-girl! So what else does she want other than a princess party?  A Hello Kitty party too!  So, I found this Sizzix Die Cut of Hello Kitty and started cranking away and making layers after layers until I reached this! I also stamped the adorable verses from "Once Upon a Time" (113746) and printed the rest of the party information and adhered it to the inside of the card. Now, I'm working on making the same Hello Kitty for a topper on a princess wand, a matching purse, and found some Hello Kitty jewelry to put in their bags for party favors. I'll post those pictures after her party! I don't know who's having more fun with this, me or her?

Egg-cellent Matchbox Treats

I want to thank Arlene, Elisa, Julie, and Nida for coming and helping me make these adorable treats to send to the Ronald McDonald House in Orange County. It made it go by so quick and I had so much fun having them here with me. We used the new Bigz XL Matchbox Die for the Sizzix (Stampin' Up exclusive) to make the box that would hold the yummy chocolate treats. We made a belly band with the ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration ribbon bundle, and then stamped images from "A Good Egg" set (114974) and accented the box with the adorable chick. I had to add some glitter too. It gives it that extra pop! Don't you just love it? Too cute!

On a side note, only 2 more weeks left of Sale-a-Bration. Get your $50 purchase order in now to get your limited edition stamp set or other free gift.

A Little Soiree (Vegas Style)

It is again another week and another sketch from the Mojo Ladies. MOJO 77

These sketches really help me to keep consistent with my crafting and helps me to keep doing what I love...making cards and sharing them with others (you). I also love these sketches because it helps me save time in designing a new card. The sketch is done so now all I have to do is come up with my color scheme and what stamps & accessories I will use. One of my girlfriends is throwing a birthday party in Vegas. I am assisting her with the invitations and party planning. I wanted to make something fun, Vegas themed, but also elegant. I think my card says all that! I hope you enjoy.

Cupcake???

Okay this is not stamped, nor has paper or ink but just as lovable! You now know that I love birds but another thing that I love is CUPCAKES! I am having the ladies from our church over for a spa day. So I came up with these party favors. Washcloths rolled into this cupcake holder with a flower bath soap. Isn't it too cute?! (And very affordable!) I wish I could eat it!
