Sale-a-brating Thanks

For the friends who come and help me with my projects for the Ronald McDonald House, I like to extend my gratitude for them by not only providing a nice meal but some fun projects to make and take home with them. I have a friend who says she can't craft at all but always shows up for these functions and proves otherwise.

So to help that friend and others who may not be "crafty", we made a packet of fun notes using our Sale-a-bration Stamp Set- Punch Bunch (which is a free, limited edition you can earn with a $50 purchase before tax and shipping).
It was a SPA time (stamp, punch, and assemble). Not stressful!

This last card was using Take a Spin. I wanted them to take a way the fun we had with them. Hope you'll take a spin and share some of your own handmade gifts.

Valentine's Taking Flight

Every holiday, I get together with friends and make gifts for the residents and families at the Orange County Ronald McDonald House. The next holiday coming up is Valentine's Day and this is what we made.
Aren't they CUTE?! Airplanes made from Lifesaver Rolls and a packet of gum. We dazzled it by covering it up with Stampin' Up! designer series paper. (There are some great designs in our current catalog and in our clearance rack. Check here.) We used our Big Designer Buttons for the wheels and a ribbon propeller. The "sign" was stamped with Filled with Love and trimmed. Its taking flight and ready for travel!

Paper: Whisper White Card Stock; Love Impressions Designer Series Paper and
Accessories: Small Heart Punch; Sweet Stitches, Spring Time Vintage, and Candy Cane Big Designer Buttons; Daffodil Delight 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon and Gold Elastic Ribbon.

Vintage Swap

For leadership, I joined in a 2nd swap for Vintage and Romantic Cards. What do you think? Is it vintage enough?

I really wanted to use the Timeless Treasure Stamp Set and thought it would work perfectly with the musical notes wheel. I feel the embossed frame with the folded paper and the crochet trim adds a lot of texture. I also used the bright color of Tangerine Tango to add a little pop but muted it a bit by distressing the edges with Chocolate Chip classic ink and a sponge.

For the folded embellishment, you'll need to punch 2 circles. Fold the circle in half, fold it again in half, and then again in half. Your circle should now be divided into eighths. Cut one of the scored lines to the center of the circle. Then, start folding valleys and mountains (back and forth) until you have completed the circle, using the scored lines as your guidelines. Repeat for the other circle and adhere each circle to each other. This will in the end make a complete folded circle, which I have used to frame my stamped phonograph. (My folded circle is folded into sections of 16 instead of eighths.)

Love Camp

I wanted to share with you some projects that we made at Stamp Club. Can't wait for Valentine's!!!
Treat Box Card
It's a treat card where you can insert chocolates or any choice of treat on the side box with a little tag for you to write your special message to a friend or loved one.  (ooh la la)

This fun folding card was inspired from another demonstrator, Lori Vonada.  Open the top and bottom flaps and you get this:
Flip the sides open and you get this:

Open the top and bottom flaps and you get this:
And you open it up again, you'll be taken back to the beginning.
With this card, you can't help but keep unfolding and unfolding and . . . unfolding! (Warning: you may get dizzy from having too much fun with this card!)

**Don't forget to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration! For every $50 purchase, receive a free Sale-A-Bration exclusive stamp set or digital download.**

My Digital Studio Desktop Calendar and more

A new year means a new calendar, so what did I use to design it? My Digital Studio of course!

(cover)

(February Cover)
February: personalized with anniversaries, birthdays, and for Valentine's Day!

It was really easy to do because I started with the designer template. Then, I added my own elements and deleted the ones that I didn't want. Fun, simple, and easy.

If you have any interest, please contact me for your own personal demonstration. And if you've got the program already or another design program, you should know that these new digital downloads as well as the other downloads available are compatible. Enjoy!
