Wicked Cool Royal Blog Tour

 Welcome all ye travelers! Welcome to my humble abode: Stamp Ink Diva! Halloween has passed but the fun projects have not. May I entice you to use this Wicked Cool Stamp Set (118738-(W) wood mount/120600-(C) clear mount ) for next year's creations and maybe even convince you to use it for the upcoming holidays?

(When I first signed up to do this tour, all I could think of was Halloween and forgot that the tour would be after that! Reminder for next year...look at the dates before I sign up! LOL)

So, I decided to share some ideas that could be used for Halloween and for other holidays.

Let's begin with this:

Some of my favorite things include cupcakes, ribbon, and buttons. So naturally, this project was a delight to make. This entails using our gorgeous ribbon as the icing and our Wicked Cool Stamp set as our cherry on top! Here's a closer look at the button spider:

What's more wicked than a cupcakeful of chocolate kisses inside?

For my next project, I wanted to share some other uses for this Wicked Cool set.

Isn't it cute? I used the Playful Pieces Set to make this present and changed up the colors to make this witch into an elf!

And then, what do you think of this:

Now the witch is dressed like "mrs. claus" and bearing this sign:

Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Settings XL and Two Tags Bigz Dies; 3/4" x 15/16" Oval, Jewelry Tag, Scallop Square, 1-1/4" Square, 1/16" Circle, 1-1/4" Circle, 1-3/8" Circle, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle, and 1-3/4" Circle Punches; Candy Cane Christmas Designer Fabric, Natural Hemp Twine, 1-1/4" Basic Black Striped Grosgrain and 5/8" Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbons; Silver Glass Glitter; Candy Cane Big Designer Buttons, and Designer Buttons-Neutral Collection.

Make Merry Mini Note Cards

As my thank you to the volunteers who came to help make Christmas Party favors for the Ronald McDonald House, we made special mini note cards using a special embossing technique and creative large skinny box to hold them in along with a few extra sweet treats!

Holiday Mini Cards were made using a special technique inspired from Patty Bennett.

These cards are too small for regular mail but great for adding to a present or inserting into a gift bag.

1. First, you'll need to make a 2" circle template with the center cut out to make a "donut/wreath". (TIP: if you use a thinner chipboard like the ones that come as the backing of your designer series paper packs, you may need to layer several of them together to get the right thickness. I used three.)
2. Place the 2-1/2"x2-1/2" Whisper White card stock inside the Petals-A-Plenty Embossing Folder.
3. Place the Chipboard on top of the embossing folder, centering it to the card stock below.
4. Place the the embossing folder and chipboard onto the multipurpose platform, then the cutting pad, and run through the big shot. (NOTE: Since every machine is a little different and depending on what material you'll be using, you may need to to add a few card stock shims to get a better image.)
5. Sponge the embossed image with Old Olive. Color in the berries with Real Red marker.
6. Using Real Red classic ink, stamp the bird image into the center of the wreath.
7. Stamp a verse onto Whisper White card stock and punch out with the Modern Label punch. Pierce holes on the side with the paper piercing tool or 1/16" hole punch and place gold brads.
8. (Optional): sponge the edges of the label and embossed card stock.
9. Layer Real Red card stock to the Chocolate Chip card stock and then layer the embossed Whisper White card stock to the Real Red.
10. Tie a bow with the Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon and attach to card with mini glue dot.
11. Attach the label with stampin' dimensionals and voila.

For the card holder, I got the inspiration from Becky Roberts. 

This one was created by Elisa White. My sample used the Snowflake Printed Window Sheets, she decided to use White Staz On Ink with a snowflake and bird stamp to make her own designer printed window sheet.

And for an extra touch, Nikki Molina, stamped a coordinating "poisetta" to her envelopes.

I love this project because you can change it around for all occasions.

Happy 100 Mojo Monday (Day 2)

Day Two of Mojo Monday's 100 Week celebration (belated) was created by Maria Gurnsey. I decided to use it for an elegant Christmas card. Make Merry!







I love the colors of red and brown together. The background paper is from the Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Series Paper. I don't think the picture does it justice. (Click on the picture for a larger viewing.) This paper is just velvety and exudes richness. I then incorporated the eyelet border punch to add a little bit more eye appeal. The center stage is taken by the Berry Christmas stamp set {116509}. Then to add more interest, I layered it with the Snowfall Printed Window Sheets. TIP: To adhere the printed window sheet, place your adhesive behind the design and it will become invisible. The delicious ribbon is from the new Mini Holiday catalog: Mistletoe. The perfect accent color to this merry card. Hope you enjoyed!
