Ghiradelli Chocolate Favors
As part of the Ronald McDonald House Charity for Orange County, local Southern California demonstrators and friends get together to make holiday treats for former and current residents of the house. My special friends and customers came and helped me make these wonderful party favors. Very simple, easy, and made with LOTS of love.
{PROJECT DETAILS}
Stamp: Christmas Punch (115366-Hostess Level 2)
Ink: Chocolate Chip and Real Red Classic Ink Pad.
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, and Whisper White Card Stock; Kiwi Kiss Textured Card Stock (retired); Holiday Treasures Designer Paper (retired).
Accessories: Big Shot, Bigz XL Bitty Box & Envelope and Flower Folds Die; Wide Oval Punch; Stampin' Dimensionals.
TIP: for the retired items used for this project may be available for purchase in the Clearance Rack on-line. Supplies are limited. Click to here to Shop Now!
- Using a variety of colored card stock, we rolled out the boxes with the Big Shot and SU's exclusive Sizzix XL Bitty Box & Envelope Die.
- Placed sticky strips on the 4 small tabs and assembled the box.
- After placing three chocolates inside, we decorated the box with a belly band from 1" x 7" designer series paper.
- With the Big Shot and Flower Folds Die (another SU Bigz XL exclusive), we rolled out our flower accent for the top. (TIP: To dress up the flowers even more, we ran the card stock through the big shot with texturz plates and embossing folders of various patterns.) Adhere the layers of the flower to each other starting with the larger one with Stampin' Dimensionals.
- We stamped the wide oval image from the Christmas Punch stamp set onto Whisper White card stock and punched out with the coordinating Wide Oval Punch.
- Adhered to the center of the flower with Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Finally, fluff up the petals to give it more depth.

Make Merry Mini Note Cards
As my thank you to the volunteers who came to help make Christmas Party favors for the Ronald McDonald House, we made special mini note cards using a special embossing technique and creative large skinny box to hold them in along with a few extra sweet treats!
These cards are too small for regular mail but great for adding to a present or inserting into a gift bag.
- First, you'll need to make a 2" circle template with the center cut out to make a "donut/wreath". (TIP: if you use a thinner chipboard like the ones that come as the backing of your designer series paper packs, you may need to layer several of them together to get the right thickness. I used three.)
- Place the 2-1/2"x2-1/2" Whisper White card stock inside the Petals-A-Plenty Embossing Folder.
- Place the Chipboard on top of the embossing folder, centering it to the card stock below.
- Place the the embossing folder and chipboard onto the multipurpose platform, then the cutting pad, and run through the big shot. (NOTE: Since every machine is a little different and depending on what material you'll be using, you may need to to add a few card stock shims to get a better image.)
- Sponge the embossed image with Old Olive. Color in the berries with Real Red marker.
- Using Real Red classic ink, stamp the bird image into the center of the wreath.
- Stamp a verse onto Whisper White card stock and punch out with the Modern Label punch. Pierce holes on the side with the paper piercing tool or 1/16" hole punch and place gold brads.
- (Optional): sponge the edges of the label and embossed card stock.
- Layer Real Red card stock to the Chocolate Chip card stock and then layer the embossed Whisper White card stock to the Real Red.
- Tie a bow with the Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon and attach to card with mini glue dot.
- Attach the label with stampin' dimensionals and voila.
This one was created by Elisa White. My sample used the Snowflake Printed Window Sheets, she decided to use White Staz On Ink with a snowflake and bird stamp to make her own designer printed window sheet.
I love this project because you can change it around for all occasions.
Thanks for looking!

I got this idea from Carol Dunstan on Splitcoaststampers. Its a simple and fun project for the Holidays. Not only can you use it to decorate your tree but makes a great gift topper or a gift in itself.
- Choose two coordinating designer series paper and cut a 3" AND 2" square from each paper.
- Trim the square pieces into 1/2" strips. (HINT: You should have 12 strips of 3"x 1/2" and 8 strips of 2"x 1/2".)
- Using the 1/16" hole punch, pierce each end of the strips about 1/4" in from the end.
- Remove the cap of the hatpin and thread one side of the 3" strips. Make sure to alternate each paper for a nice pattern.
- Start with the bottom strip (closest to the loop/eye of the hatpin) and thread the other end onto the pin.
- Repeat until all the strips are threaded, overlapping the other and always starting from the bottom.
- You should have something that looks like a ball.
- Repeat steps 4-6 with the 2" strips.
- Add the crystal beads and place the cap back onto the hatpin.
- Finish by adding the ribbon to the loop/eye of the hatpin and hang.

Chic Boutique
Its always fun to get together with other demonstrators and swap cards. You not only get great ideas but its a fun time to socialize and meet new friends. We were asked to bring a shoebox swap where you bring all the prepared materials to make your sample card and put it in a box the size of a shoebox. Because there were going to be 20 of us, I decided to keep it simple. Here is what I made with a little help from MOJO Monday.
{Project Details}
.
1. Cut Kraft card stock to 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and fold in half to 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”.
2. Cut Crushed Curry DSP to 3” x 4” and center to the top of the card (about 1/2” from the top).
3. Cut Choc. Chip Patterns Designer Paper to 1-1/4” x 4-1/4” and layer onto the card, overlapping the Crushed Curry DSP a little and leaving about a 1/4” of Kraft paper to the left side.
4. Punch the 2”x 2-3/4” Kraft paper with the Modern Label Punch.
5. Stamp the bird cage stamp onto the 2-3/4” Very Vanilla Circle, layer onto the Chocolate Chip Scallop Circle, and adhere to bottom right corner of the card.
6. Ink the “hello” stamp with chocolate chip and stamp onto the 2” x 2-3/4” Very Vanilla CS. Punch out with the Modern Label punch with the verse aligned to the left hand side. Then, punch again with the word window punch to trim.
7. Layer the punched very vanilla card stock onto the punched kraft card stock. Adhere the verse behind the scallop circle to the card.
8. Tie the ribbon into a bow and adhere to card with glue dots.

"Boo" Banner
It may say Boo but no boos for this banner! Its so colorful, sparkly, and accented with that gorgeous Black Striped ribbon that it'll be a winner for all that see! This was inspired by my dear friend, Ruth Bingle. But of course, changed up a bit for my Stamp Club members.
One of the fun things about this project was using a technique which is a take off the heat emboss and resist technique. The Bride Designer Paper has a shiny scroll print which will resist the ink that is applied to it much like an image that is embossed. Using the brayer, we rolled Basic Black ink onto the paper. Then with a tissue, wiped the excess ink off the scroll print and voila! It changes the whole look.
The center accents on each block is card stock cut to 1-1/2" x 12". Scored every 1/2" and folded like a fan. The ends are adhered to each other and layered onto the scalloped square block. (The trick is to flatten out the circle from the center out. Once you get the hang of doing one, it becomes much easier. Don't be afraid to squish it down flat.)
The scallop square block and letters were cut out using my favorite die-cutting machine the Big Shot. Spray a little adhesive over the letter or use the glue pen and sprinkle dazzling diamonds.
Last but not least, adhere the gorgeous ribbon and hang for decoration!

Boo
I'M BACK!
Trick or Treat, Scary and Sweet . . .
a verse in our wonderful Grateful Greetings stamp set but also the perfect intro for today's entry. As I prepare my children's costumes to go trick or treating, I made a few treats for their school mates and wanted to share with you. (This matchbook treat was inspired by Becky Robert's.) I didn't want to put too much on it because they are going to children and most likely, the first thing they'll do is rip it right open to get to the candy. BUT...it still has to be CUTE!

Happy 100th Mojo (Day 4)
Continuing the celebration of Mojo Monday turning 100 weeks old, Sarah Bigelow shares her sketch. I decided it was time to bring out "Friends 24-7" stamp set {113218}. I like more of the whimsical and cutesy bird stamps versus the life-like images of birds so I never thought to purchase this set. Then I received some beautiful swaps with these images and had to get it. Unfortunately, I didn't use any of the main images in this sample but I did highlight the verses.
- Trim Chocolate Chip card stock to 3" x 4-1/4"
- Wrap Chocolate Chip card stock with ribbon.
- Adhere to Always Artichoke card
- Trim another piece of Chocolate Chip card stock to 3" x 5".
- Trim Very Vanilla card stock to 2-3/4" x 4-3/4". (On my card, the dimensions are not exact because I trimmed the card after I didn't stamp my frame directly in the center, which comes to my next point.)
- Stamp the frame image in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink and stamp into the center of the Very Vanilla card stock. (TIP: If you want it to be EXACT, the help from the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig tool would be great for this step. If you don't want to use it, you can do what I did. If after the image is stamped and is not quite centered, trim the paper to make it look like you did!)
- Stamp the frame image in Always Artichoke onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock.
- Stamp the verse in Chocolate Chip classic ink and place onto the center of the Always Artichoke frame.
- Using the 1-3/4" Circle Punch, trim the center of this piece out and layer onto the Chocolate Chip frame with Stampin' Dimensionals. (I just love how the punches coordinate so well with a myriad of stamp sets found in the Stampin' Up! catalog.)
- Layer this onto the base card, stamp the other verse/sentiment in Chocolate Chip classic ink to the bottom corner, and you are all done!

Happy 100 Mojo Monday (Day 3)
Day Three of Mojo Monday's 100th Week Celebration (belated) continues with a sketch from Teresa Kline. Here is my creation using this sketch:
I can't quite describe why I love this woodsy background paper from Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper but I do! Its rustic but at the same time a little bit modern. I pulled the colors from this designer paper to add my colored card stock. Then added the Old Olive to pull the color from the peacock image from the Very Thankful stamp set {115338}, which part of its sales goes to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
To get the colored effect of the peacock, stamp the image in the lightest color first. Then take your sponge dauber and sponge the areas you'd like to add the different colors. Repeat until satisfied and stamp onto the card stock. You'll always be surprised at what you get!
