Happy Father's Day

Yes, it's a bit late. But I wanted to share with you some of the things that I did for the fathers at the Ronald McDonald House.

The card above is a simple layout. I used one of my all time favorite stamp set, Define Your Life, Extreme Elements, and a retired set from the Occasions Mini Catalog from 2009 - Eight Great Greetings.

These were the gift boxes that coordinated with the greeting card. The stamps used were All Holiday, Extreme Elements, and Define Your Life. Sorry folks, the designer paper is discontinued. Inside I had a set of tools, so I thought the wood grain exterior would make the presentation without it being too typical. I would love to hear your thoughts, please feel free to leave a comment.

Happy Birthday James . . .

This is a fun change in sketch design from Mojo Monday. A skinny, tall card. I feel like I should be at Starbucks ordering my favorite...tall, skinny caramel macchiato please! With that, I was tempted to make a card using a coffee theme. However, I was looking through my sneak peak stash and saw this wonderful print from "Paper Tall Tales" Designer Series Paper (115678). **Available for order July 1st. **

My mind just ran off with it and this is what transpired. A birthday card for my husband from all of us. The words truly do encompass what a wonderful dad and man my husband is. Happy Birthday James!

KWerner Design Color Challenge

I just love these color challenges. I especially love this one because it reminds me of summer, which I can't wait for! But for my Stamp "IN" Fellowship Group meeting, we were asked to bring a Father's Day or Graduation Card, so I elected to use this color combination for graduation cards. I used it to make this money holder.

I decided to let this greeting be the focal point. Using a variety of the alphabet stamp sets that Stampin' Up! offers, I used it to stamp CONGRATS. Also, I used the So Saffron button from Button Latte as my "o". I like how these mixed up letters seem to work together.

Besides, what graduate wouldn't love a card that reminds them of summer to come and find inside a little extra spending cash!
