In September, my fearless leader for the Ronald McDonald House Charity lost her fight with cancer. Karen Moody was such a wonderful, sweet, generous, and very creative person. I feel blessed to have known her and if it weren't for Stampin' Up!, I would have never had the chance to meet her. I'm thankful for the friends I have met and will continue to meet through our creativity. As the holidays draw near, I think of her quite often because it was during these times that we were working and creating gifts to send over to the children and families staying at the Orange County RMH together.
Karen was the first person to introduce me to Bunco. She also taught me how to create many, many fun things that I have shared in the past. She even had the patience to correct my mistakes and fix some of my projects that got bumps and bruises as they found their way to her by mail. She also connected me to a great charity, the Ronald McDonald House, and many other demonstrators but most of all, she was a friend.
From this experience with Karen, I've learned:
life is truly short.
To appreciate the little things and take the time to enjoy what is now.
My faith also becomes stronger and feel blessed and comforted that I have a God and a heaven to look forward to.
And in honor of her, I'd like to host a blog giveaway.
