One of my best girlfriends hit a milestone in her life...Fabulous Forty! So to mark this momentous occasion, I made her a special birthday card/exploding box.

In honor of her favorite store.

Explosion Birthday Cake

How do you celebrate a 50th birthday and show them how special they are? With this is:

The card looks like a box:

And then, you open the lid and POOF:

On three of the sides, I either wrote a message or stamped greetings for the birthday girl. Then on the one side left, I attached a gift card.

I just loved making this card. I felt like a baker only my medium was paper instead of butter cream and fondant! Doesn't the birthday topping look like white chocolate? Yummy!
