It was a fun, fun day yesterday. I hope that you enjoyed the holiday with your loved ones.

I thought I'd give you an update on Riley's apron & cake pop maker story with a picture.

She immediately wanted to use it and made some cake pops to share with her uncles, aunts, and cousins. The cake pops were pretty good.

Every year, I get my children new pajamas for Christmas and surprisingly enough, they really look forward to it. This year's fit perfectly for their roles--older brother is the boss and the girls are his elves (most of the time).

12 Days of Giveaways--Day 11 (Birthday Gifts)

Today's gift was meant for my friend, Yvonne. She had been ill and was waiting for a lung transplant but before that could come to fruition, she passed away. Too soon! So as I reflect on today's celebration, I feel bittersweet. Sad that my friend passed away but also feeling blessed that our family is ever growing and healthy.

Today was a very special day for our family where we celebrated Sophia's 1st birthday. James has a very BIG extended family and we are all very close. Only problem, we live so far apart that our children hardly get to play with each other. But no matter how long it has been or if they are meeting for the first time, they ALL get along. It is such a blessing!

Birthdays around this time of year also reminds me of why we as Christians celebrate this season. So in honor of birthdays and celebrating life, I'd like to give this Cherry on Top hostess set as today's giveaway.

With a new year coming, I thought it would be nice to welcome it with happiness and joy.

I created the 2013 desktop calendar for the ladies in my bible study group. But I ran out of my Whisper White card stock so I wasn't able to print and hand them out before Christmas. It worked out because now, I am able to get it printed through the printing services through Stampin' Up! and will have them as New Year gifts for them.

I love that each month has an inspirational quote.

Day 8 of Giveaways-- Sew Sweet!

This paper crafter tried a little sewing. Why? I had all this beautiful fabric from Stampin' Up! and wanted to use it to make an apron for my Riley. She's been asking for cake pop makers, cupcake makers, donut makers, and more. You name it, if it had "maker" at the end of it..she wanted it. Well, one of her fantastic aunties said she would get a cake pop maker for Riley for Christmas and so I wanted to make a little apron to go with all her baking wishes.

I have to say that I'm very proud of this apron. There are some imperfections but I couldn't be happier with the final product. I will do my best to come up with a tutorial for the apron.

The apron needed some extra details so I made the flower pin. The best part is that its removable so she can wear it on her hair or as a brooch with other outfits.

I love helping in different charities. One of my favorite is the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House Charities help support families with children who have serious illnesses. For this Christmas, my children and I made these fun treats to send to the children and families staying at the Orange County home. We got the idea from Daune Cotter when we swapped ideas for the Punch Art. Recipients will be getting Santas, Snowmen, and Elves. Hope it brings a little smile to them.
