It may say Boo but no boos for this banner! Its so colorful, sparkly, and accented with that gorgeous Black Striped ribbon that it'll be a winner for all that see! This was inspired by my dear friend, Ruth Bingle. But of course, changed up a bit for my Stamp Club members.
One of the fun things about this project was using a technique which is a take off the heat emboss and resist technique. The Bride Designer Paper has a shiny scroll print which will resist the ink that is applied to it much like an image that is embossed. Using the brayer, we rolled Basic Black ink onto the paper. Then with a tissue, wiped the excess ink off the scroll print and voila! It changes the whole look.
The center accents on each block is card stock cut to 1-1/2" x 12". Scored every 1/2" and folded like a fan. The ends are adhered to each other and layered onto the scalloped square block. (The trick is to flatten out the circle from the center out. Once you get the hang of doing one, it becomes much easier. Don't be afraid to squish it down flat.)
The scallop square block and letters were cut out using my favorite die-cutting machine the Big Shot. Spray a little adhesive over the letter or use the glue pen and sprinkle dazzling diamonds.
Last but not least, adhere the gorgeous ribbon and hang for decoration!

Boo
I'M BACK!
Trick or Treat, Scary and Sweet . . .
a verse in our wonderful Grateful Greetings stamp set but also the perfect intro for today's entry. As I prepare my children's costumes to go trick or treating, I made a few treats for their school mates and wanted to share with you. (This matchbook treat was inspired by Becky Robert's.) I didn't want to put too much on it because they are going to children and most likely, the first thing they'll do is rip it right open to get to the candy. BUT...it still has to be CUTE!

- Cut basic black card stock to 2-3/4" x 8-1/2".
- Score along the long side (8-1/2") at 1", 5", and 5-1/4".
- Fold at the score lines.
- Fold the 1" tab up and staple into place. (This will be the flap where you'll tuck the top cover into.)
- Cut Cast-A-Spell Designer Series Paper to 2" x 2-3/4"
- Layer onto the top of the front flap and close.
- Cut Whisper White card stock to 3/4" x 2-3/4".
- Using Old Olive Classic Ink, stamp the verse onto the Whisper White card stock and layer over the bottom front flap, covering the staple.
- Punch a scallop circle of Elegant Eggplant.
- Punch a 1-3/4" circle of Old Olive.
- Using Basic Black classic ink, stamp the "boo" ghost image onto Whisper White card stock and punch out using the 1-1/4" circle.
- Layer the ghost using stampin' dimensionals onto the Old Olive circle, then onto the Elegant Eggplant scallop circle.
- Cut a small strip of Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, fold in half to make a "V", and tape to back of Elegant Eggplant scallop circle. Trim edges.
- Adhere the entire piece onto the matchbook with stampin' dimensional.
*Don't forget the candy!*

New Deal of the Week
Hi all!
I'm sorry I've been absent on this blog. I'm still adjusting to life here in Southern California. I've been trying to coordinate fundraisers for my children's school, which has taken the bulk of my time, and I've been trying to live a healthier life with more exercising! Who knew being a mom could be so tiring and so busy!
I've got a lot of pictures to download and share with you. So expect those in the next few days! I've got some great Holiday projects to share and a few more MOJO sketches.
In the meantime, don't forget to check the deal of the week section on my blog or my Stampin' UP! site (look under promotions). This week's special:
The second deals of the week are from October 12, 10 AM (MT) through October 19, 9:50 AM (MT).
